I am responsible for managing all social media platforms for Lovango Resort & Beach, a luxury private island resort located in the U.S. Virgin Islands, including Instagram (@lovangoresort) and Facebook. My role encompasses the development and execution of our monthly content calendar, the creation and design of engaging social media stories, as well as overseeing all paid and boosted advertising campaigns to ensure they align with the resort’s brand image and marketing objectives. Additionally, I oversee the design and production of various on-site collateral, including menus, maps, and in-room materials, ensuring brand consistency across all guest touch-points.
Beyond social media, I manage our retail operations on the island, which includes everything from product purchasing and vendor relations to merchandising and on-site product placement. I design our exclusive logowear items, such as t-shirts, sweatshirts, UV solars, hats, and accessories, working closely with suppliers to select PMS colors, thread choices, and other design details to ensure our products reflect the resort’s identity and resonate with our guests.
Under my management, retail sales have seen a remarkable increase, with sales figures nearly doubling compared to the previous year, despite the fact that we are only three months into the season. This growth highlights the success of our targeted merchandising strategies and product offerings, which continue to enhance the guest experience while driving significant revenue for the resort.
With assistance from the owner / creative director, I managed our retail collaboration with Lilly Pulitzer for a special pop-up shop in our retail village. I was responsible for curating the retail selection for our season, ensuring the merchandise aligned with both Lilly Pulitzer's signature style and Lovango Resort & Beach’s brand identity. From choosing the right product assortment, I worked closely with the Lilly Pulitzer team to create a unique and memorable shopping experience for our guests. This collaboration further enhanced our retail offerings and contributed to a distinct, upscale atmosphere at the resort.
